In New York, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across New York, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

La Cabra is a must visit for anyone who appreciates specialty coffee. The coffee is exceptional, with expertly sourced beans and perfectly brewed cups that showcase the quality of each origin. The pastries and desserts are equally impressive beautifully crafted, fresh, and made with remarkable attention to detail. Every bite reflects the care and precision that goes into their baking. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, La Cabra is well worth a visit and a place I would happily return to.

The vibe is incredibly relaxing from the moment you walk in. It starts with a subtle aroma of honey throughout the café. At first, you don’t quite understand why it’s there, until you take your first sip of coffee and discover those same honey notes in the cup. The coffee is definitely the star of the experience. The pastries are works of art. They feel like a melody on the palate—delicate yet expressive flavors. You can taste the freshness of the dough, the richness of the butter, the dairy notes, and the natural quality of every ingredient. Everything feels honest, intentional, and beautifully crafted. The best pastry experience I’ve had. It wasn’t just about eating a pastry or drinking a cup of coffee; it was about experiencing ingredients in their purest form, interpreted with precision and sensitivity.

Very famous Danish roasters located in Manhattan. Place is constantly PACKED, service is good and professional. Had a cortado from their more unique beans, but can't say I was blown away really. Good overall, a bit on the expensive side, and there are better spots in town if you'd like to experience American roasters.

My wife took one sip of the cardamom latte and exclaimed “Wow!”. Yeah, this is amazing espresso. The roast is flavorful without any bitterness, the milk is frothed expertly to a lovely microfoam, and the addition of the cardamom is optional but unique and great! The plain latte is excellent too. Pastries are delicious and the staff are super nice. The place was overwhelmed on a Saturday morning, a line outside the shop and too many locals sitting in the limited seating long after finishing their drinks. That would be fine at a larger shop, but it’s not neighborly in this small setting. But ya gotta go for the amazing coffee!!

The coffee was delicious! The cardamon latte was so yummy (and they made it warm despite of appearing in the “cold drinks” section of the menu). The place was busy and we couldn’t sit. However, we were happy we didn’t have to queue! The cardamon bun texture wasn’t great. It wasn’t fluffy/airy and it felt too dense. The Swiss pain was delicious and overall perfect. We recommend the place for the coffee, but we also find it quite expensive. Not worth it if you cannot even sit. Almost 32$ w/o tip for 2 coffees and 2 pastries. The staff was very kind.
